The SMSF Sector has been through enormous change to legislation as well as modifications to the licencing requirements of financial advisors and trustees of Self Managed Super Funds.

We were to design a national member acquisition campaign to non-member businesses. From research, we knew how strongly current SMSF Association members valued their association and the support services, but we were to convince the uninitiated.

We created an approach that would clearly demonstrate the benefits of:

• Improving SMSF compliance and competence
• Staying up to date
• And being part of a trusted, professional community

And we did this through the testimonials of current members, who were financial planners, accountants and auditors chosen for the power of their stories.

The Result

The campaign gave prominence to the SMSF Association. Through this campaign and events we have promoted for SMSF Association, membership has been swelled by a younger cohort. The benefit of professional membership is clear.
